2007 Cadillac Escalade Insurance Quote?

Friday Sep 3, 2010

What would the Auto Insurance Price be on A 2007 Cadillac Escalade in 2013. A 17 Year old would be driving it? Liberty Mutual

It really depends on which state you’re in and if you are adding the person to your insurance plan or not. The cheapest place I’ve found is http://bit.ly/d5EmCu it was like $600 cheaper than State Farm and Progressive…

Car insurance, sports cars, young drivers?

Friday Sep 3, 2010

I’m looking into a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse when I turn 18 for my first car. Does anybody have any idea on how much I’m looking at insurance wise per month?

Other cars I’m also looking into are Firebirds, Camaros, Eagle Talons, Mitsubishi 3000 GT
Is the insurance for these cars going to be the same amount?

If all you are going to have is basic liability insurance, the type of car you drive does not matter. You can have a 1985 Yugo GV or a 2007 Ferrari 599, liability rates will be the same.

The actual rate you are charged depends on many, many factors, such as but not limited to: your high school GPA, your parents credit score, how long you have been licensed, any accidents you have been in, which company you go with, whether you pay month to month or 6 months at a time, etc.

This question is asked here a hundred times a day, there are too many factors for anyone other than an insurance agent to give you a quote. The closest thing I can give you to an accurate rate is, when I was 17 I was paying $120 a month for liability…. I got ONE speeding ticket and that amount doubled, and stayed doubled for 2 years.

Where can I find a Job in Houston? (I’m 17 in December and willing to work ANYWHERE)?

Friday Sep 3, 2010

I pay $200/month for car insurance and I’m running on my last pennies… I have been actively seeking a job in data entry but most require previous experience or 18 years of age… Really I would accept a job anywhere within 15 miles of where I live (area code 77005). I can work for minimum wage. However, on weekdays I will only be able to work 21/2 hours from 630 to 8, but on weekends I can work as many hours as needed. I am computer-literate and can work a cash register….
In response to Rhonda:
I’m still attending school and have every intention to go to college (I go to a Prep school). I’m looking for a flexible part-time job.

If you need money ASAP I’d suggest retail stores. There should be some store out there looking for holiday retail help and will likely be willing to work with your hours due to demand. Bookstore, clothing stores, electronics, etc. are all options.

If you’re looking for something else you can try walking into whatever office, company or organization and getting a job that way. I literally did that with my first job, thinking I wouldn’t have much of a chance and that I’d be temporary help. I ended up staying for a little over a year and was even offered/asked to try for a higher position.

There’s also craigslist.org, monster.com, careerbuilder.com, hotjobs.com.

Good luck!

California Homeowner Insurance

Thursday Sep 2, 2010

California has the distinction of having some of the highest real estate and housing prices in the nation. Because of this California homeowner insurance rates tend to be higher as compared with many other parts of the country. When you factor in the fact that earthquake insurance is also needed in most parts of the state you can see why the rates are so high.

Fortunately there are a number of things you can do to lessen the cost associated with high insurance costs. In fact if you follow many of the following tips you may be able to reduce your monthly bill by as much as 30%. And having that extra 30% in your pocket every month could make a big financial difference in today’s unstable economy.

The first thing to check is make sure you’re insuring your home for the proper amount. Many homeowners are paying for more coverage then they need because they are mistakenly buying coverage for the estimated sales value of their home. This price usually includes the cost of the land, which in most instances does not need to be insured. You only need to insure your home for the estimated cost of rebuilding it from the ground up in the case it is destroyed. This should include the cost of replacing its contents as well.

Another way to save money on your California homeowners insurance is by installing a security system. This includes burglar alarms and smoke detectors that are hardwired into the home electrical system and is connected to a central call center that is monitored 24 hours a day.

Insurance companies require at the minimum a $500 deductible on all home insurance policies. Most people just accept this and fail to realize that by raising their deductible another $500 to $1000 can save an additional 30% of their monthly premiums.

You can also save money by buying all your insurance from one company. Most insurance providers, online and off, offer more then just home insurance. If you combine your auto and home insurance under one provider you will most certainly get a discount.

One of the best ways to save money on homeowners insurance in California is to purchase your policy on the internet. Not only can you get multiple quotes to compare but most online insurance companies also do not have the administrative costs associated with the more traditional offline companies. They can then pass these savings onto their customers.

If you feel you are paying to much for your California homeowner insurance then consider these tips as a way to help lower that cost and put more money in your pocket every month.
